The concept of the infinite number is interesting and beyond comprehension, I must add. But the concept of the infinite universe is much harder to accept, as muslim we belive on God is infinite, as per the verse "he is eternal and absolute". What conclusion can we as mulsim draw? Only God is infinite and that is an impossible concept to comprehend. I don't accept the infinite universe argument.
Infinite is a relative term, which describes finite figures incrementing without stop, therefore, God is beyond such similies. Although the concept of infinite universe is difficult but understandable.
Quran 51:47 "The heaven, We have built it with power. Verily. We are expanding it."
There you go, example of inifinity, universe starting at zero and then lets say start adding 1 unit(m/km/light-year) / time (sec). It will continue expanding and hence there would never come a point when you reach its end.
Quran 55:32 "O assembly of jinn and men! If you have power to pass beyond the zones of the heavens and the earth, then pass beyond (them)! But you will never be able to pass them, except with authority (from Allâh)!"
If it had a limit, one day, Man or Jinn would have been able to reach it.

Infinity is something beyond numbers, the numbers example is just a way of illustrating it in an easy to undestand method. Infact, once numbers start incrementing without stop, there's nothing finite about them, it's either infinite or finite. God is everlasting, is that not infinite?

No this isn't an example of infinity, if this is infinity then it is intimating that God has no control over it, if he has control over it, then it can come to a stop, breaking it's infiniteness. Also, just because something is being expande, doesn't mean it is being expanded without stop. The fact that it is expanding shows that it is a limited space and is being expanded further, infinity is unlimited, there is no expansion of infinity.

Except with authority from Allah!! If he chooses then he will grant us the power to pass. Infinity is incongruent with our belief in God as it would mean that there is sometihng besides his magnificence that is infinite.
