Brothers shame on us, these days who ever is doing dawah all we look at is, is so and so a wahabi, D******i, brelvi, I LOVE AHMAD DEEDAT MAY ALLAH HAVE MERCY ON HIM, HE STOOD UP FOR ISLAM, HE HAD DEBATES WITH SO MANY CHRISTIANS OF HIS TIME, THE QUESTION IS HOW MANY OF US CONVEY THE MESSAGE OF ISLAM TODAY, WE ARE GOOD AT LABELING MUSLIMS KAFIRS, MUNAFIQ ETC..
I agree with you, before accusing anyone of anything,we should look at how much have we served our deen. People nowadays have no shame in even thinking about such person in a bad way. The guy have served islam all his life and died severing his religion.
Ahmed deedat was a man with a mission,he didn't leave christians with legs to stand on in the battlefield of knowledge.
If only we had a few more like him.

Bismillairahmaaniraheem Why are we hiding the TRUTH just because he was seen among them ? Shia Wahabi Deo'bandi he was seen among but our Brailvi brothers shunned him. Refuse to invite him because he was seen among them !. Most of his books and audio video are printed and provided by Islamic Propagation Centre Birmingham UK. They are supported by Saudi and not a single line has been ever written against them by the Centre !. Next he was seen praying behind Shias Wahabi and Deo'bandi. He did not have a Madhab that he followed for instance he wrote a book in praise of Khomaini and his revolution !. It would be wrong to call him a a Wali or an Imam but as a scholar as he would like to be known. He did not come to say anything to divide us nor has he said anything to unite us. His main goal was to spread Islam (basic) he did not want to spread a particular branch or sect of Islam as his study was to defend the Holy Quran through the proofs from the old scriptures, not from secterian books !. We should be thankful to Allah (swt) for providing us with such a scholar. We should not accuse him of being this or that. He was well aware of the beliefs of the sects and differences among them. Yet he never called anyone of them wrong nor accepted being part of them. I have met him a few times and he was surely a great man. Had he distanced himself from the Wahabi Deo and Shia his message would not have had such an impact as he would have exausted his energy in defending himself among his own. If anyone ever asked him which sect does he follow his reply was I am a MUSLIM. Please read Al Fatihaa. Jazak Allah Khairan - Waslaam

Assalaam AlaikumAhmed Deedat(R.A) was a man fighting for Islam as a whole(against non muslims of all types). It suffices to say that he was representing sunnis,wahaabis and shias when debating christians,hindus,jews etc. True muslim in my eyes! Sunnyat ki toh tekehdaari sab lehte hain,kabhi tahaffuz e deene islam ki bhi li hai?

Sheikh Ahmad deedat called himself a muslim and did not associate himself with any sects etc... he was a hanafi with links to D******is, hes family was very close to mufti ismail Menk (DEO) infact his Janaza prayer was led by mufti Ismail menk of Zimbabwe, sheikh respected every school of thought, he was known to respect tablighies and also attented Milad an Nabi (SAW). the current chairman of IPCI in south africa is a deo. may allah grant him jannah. Zakir naik was trained by sh ahmad deedat check out videos on you tube etc...this info was given to me by his relative from durban. Allah knows best.

Exactly what details do you want??
I know many shia's that have great love for Ahmed deedat and love his lectures.Does that make him shia???
Did you know He praises the shia of Iran and he calls for sunni/shia unity.I will post this up
..
I guess that makes him 25% shia,25% wahabi and 50% sunni..:P

A man loved by all and sorely missed, the eloquence he spoke with, coupled with his humour. Today the mad mullah gets a microphone and is never used to make dawah but to spread hate and rancour about other individuals. Sheikh Ahmed Hussain Deedat (ra) is missed by all Muslims regardless of whom he was funded by to propogate the spread of Islam its so sad that people bring up such rubbish and try to tarnish good people rather than pay a tribute. He was a man of tassawuf, a wali of Allah in his own right. I mean come on would he travel the world over with just two close friends Syed Saleem Quadri and Ghoolam Hussain.... Ghoolam Hussain? (servant of Hussain) People should remain silent, rather then speculate if they do not a individual or have never met the person being speculated.
How would one feel if someday someone questioned the integrity of how your father fed you after he had died?
He was a man who was motivated by the love and truth of his religion, he stood in the face of Christian missionaires and slaughtered them with his intellect and held the tide of Christian missionaires as a one man army and defeating some of the greatest amongst the Christian evangelists in public debates. Even when he was bed ridden from his stroke he still communicated with people with his eyes.
