Assalaam Alaikum,
I think Barrister Mirza Rasheed deserves alot of respect for the programme aired on Friday 26th june
MashaAllah he had an opportunity and took full advantage of that opportunity and with such humble eloquence
hats off to him it took a big man to bring forward the issues he did to Pir Allauddin siddiqui live on air MashaAllah
all out of pure love for the Ahlus sunnat and habib e qainaat our master RasoolAllah sallallah ho alaihi wa sallam.
if anyone watched it please post your opinions.

basically brother mirza rasheed made a humble request before peer Allauddin siddiqui to take steps to resolve the issue he dedicated his whole show in trying to convince peer sahib live on tv
peer Allauddin was unaware mirza rasheed would do this it was a very frank discussion with genuine heartfelt sentiments from mirza rasheed who said he sees both personalities as akabir and if they were to resolve their issues by disscussion it would be far better for the general Ahlus sunnah community
he put his kneck on the line but i dont think to much avail in the end but i still think he deserves some respect for trying and doing it live on air on noor tv aswell

The programme was repeated this morning on Noor TV, I saw the last 30 minutes. I have to say Mirza Rasheed made every effort to convince Pir Siddiqui sahib that he should take the initiative to end this unfortunate division. Unfortunately, Pir Siddiqui sahib seems very set in their way and made rather harsh comments about the person (presumably Pir Syed Abdul Qadir Jillani sahib) Barrister Mirza Rasheed was trying to get Pir Siddiqui sahib to reconcile matters with. The comments included accusations such as "this person has swore at Aulia, Sufiyan etc .... this person does not respect other ulema / mashaikh and seems obsessed with his own prominence.... this person has problem with pride ...... etc.....
Even to the very end of the programme the presenter tried earnestly to reason with Pir Siddiqui sahib, but they seemed adamant that this is an unreconcilable difference.
It's the first I've heard from any of the parties to this recent controversial matter, and I have to say I was surprised and quite sadenned.
I do hope this matter results in reconciliation, as the Muslims of the UK have many other important issues to be dealing with collectively.

Yes, I have been hearing about this programme.Mirza Rasheed made an excellent interview and he discussed the concepts of tasawwuf to reconcile, forgive and forget, especially in personal matters. Barrister Mirza Rashid put forward a case (as a barrister does) to Pir Siddiqui and said we are all Sunnis and we are all servants of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) and at this time and day we do not need this type of friction and disunity among ourselves, particulalry our elders. The saddest part is that throughout this emoitional plea, Pir Siddiqui Sahib remained stubborn and did not change attitude, not even an inch. It was pretty shocking to see how stubborn Pir Siddqui Sahib is and how far removed he is from the actual teachings of tasawwuf. There was no riqat-e-qalbi - no softness and emotion in the heart. He did not even react to the emotions and sincerity of the questioner, there was no flexibility in his character. In the end Mirza Rashid began to cry and even begged Pir Siddiqui Sahib to stop this but to no avail, Pir Siddqui was unmoved. Mirza even stated at the end that I have done my all and presented my case to Pir Sahib, I even pressurised him but he did not give way or yield. All hats off to Mirza Rashid, what a brave man to fire such questions to the very owner of the TV channel live on air. Although he was repeatedly dissapointed and hurt by Pir Siddqui's replies, insha'Allah he will be replied to and returned much good in the aakhira for his words. Mirza Rashid is a person who has dard for the Umma and Sunniyat where it became clear to all that this is something the interviewee completely lacked. Can the interview be uploaded for everyone to see?

Yes QJ, this Mirza Rashid sounds like me, trouble Soul, Seeker et al.I mean, we have been pleading with Syed crew, stop, please, don't, for the sake of unity and you 'the crew' haven't relented one bit, even calling us jealous, cowards, haters etc!!!! When Pir Aslam mureeds have asked for their jamaat to stop visiting, because of this stubbonrness and fitna, you have even pounced on them and not had an ounce of reflection about why they made this appeal, instead looking to disparage their ignorant 'corner shop'. Hopefully you can now empathise with the shock that we are feeling as well, with what went on, on this forum. OVER

Can someone upload the video please? and can any of Pir Siddiqi's mureeds please show him the latest video from Luton where Mufakkir e Islam re-discusses the issue in a scholarly manner with the multitude of proofs. Maybe you could also suggest to Pir Siddiqi to respond similarly with some proofs for his position?

Mirza Rasheed deserves all praise to try to take heat off this matter.only Allah knows who is afzal in his eyes. there are arguments on both sides . to make this matter as a prestige and create further division in the believers and lovers of Allah and his prophet in such difficult times ,where Islam is under attack from all sides,and Wahabis are on to destroy the basic aqeeda of Ahle sunnat, is very unwise . I hope our leaders and masaikhs realise this ,and sit together,and resolve their differences and hug each other again,otherwise they will loose public support.Wassalam salauddin
