I also fear tentative when it comes to paying for something at the counter.  I'll do everything else, but when it comes to payment, i'll just give the money to a friend and tell him to 'just deal with it yaraa'.

Maybe you're not agrophobic, but just alittle on the shy side, deal with it with unstoppable positive thinking, whenever I feel tentative, I slap a hard surface whilst angrily shouting "so what? What's the worst that can happen? he's not going to bite my head off whole is he?". it helps to defeat the negative thoughts and reduces the palpitations of nervousness.

Don't give up your personal power by using dis-empowering language. Turn it around, don't say "This is scary", say "According to me.....". This forces you to recognise that your reactions aren't absolute truths and are simply relative reactions.

You have to gain empowerment upon your emotions once again, because you've lost it.  Go stand in a queue and whisper to yourself, this isn't bad, i'm just feeling nervous, but I shouldn't be etc for added courage bang on the dashboard of your car whilst screaming, "i'm going to do this and nobody can say nothing to me".

Completely let go of the past, tell yourself, that "i'm not going to be so hard on myself...everyone makes mistakes, i've messed up, but SO WHAT? Even the Queen's stool stinks, i've made mistakes, i've been nervous, but i was a different person then and i'm not going to spend my life beating myself up about things I did when I was juvenile and insecure."

Go to quiet area or room, where nobody can hear you

Start screaming at the top of your voice, telling yourself positive things and defeating the negative one's.

Such as, "I will do it, who is there to stop me? Why not? I will?" etc bang a wall or kick a table. Be more aggressive and for once, experience the elation of coming out of your timidity.

Try it, it's very therepeautic, I talk to myself all the time, though i'm alittle un-hinged and not a good model, but it really does help in working things out!

zarqa (25.06.2009)Wow KTL you are giving really a good advices.I know it really works.

He really is great isn’t he?  But that wasn’t the case a few years ago, you see not many of you know this but the personality we know today as the legendarily KTL of Yanabi.com was once upon a time a bag of emotional wrack, I am telling you the guy was hopeless.

He had lot of goals and big dreams but he use to loose motivation very easily and over the smallest things, eventually that lead to his supporters, his families and like to loose faith in him and every where he went people use to say how he is a waste and that he will never accomplish anything in his life.  Boy I am telling you that really got to him and he was in a situation more or less to what our sister Villacharsobis is going through at the current moment.  So anyway the moment came where he believed that his existence in this life is nothing but an accident and that he will never be a man in his life, all hopes and dreams were fading from him.  It was at that moment I felt pity for that guy and just slapped him in the face and said “The greatest pleasure in life is trying to achieve what people say you cannot achieve!...” and the rest as the say is history and voila today in front of you is a great personality in the form of KTL, although some may argue that it was only thanks to me but anyway…….

And my sis today I have another advice for you so I hope you take your time understanding it and honor it just as KTL did and you never know yaar, you just never know.

I don’t know what the key to success is, but the key to failure is trying to please everyone!!

Try and achieve your dreams, if you fall then raise yourself up girl, the sun never stays down once it goes to its resting place hell no, it rises back up bringing light and hope and like that you must carry on until you achieve your dream and even if you don’t achieve your dream, atleast you will have the satisfaction to say well atleast I tried what did you do?

But let me tell you something only do it for yourself, for those who supported you and Thy Lord, because if try to go and please everyone then that will lead to your eventual failer.  Best of luck with your future, may Thy Lord bless you.

Absolutely.

KTL won’t mind me saying this:

It was only 2-3 years ago that he would be at my home (uninvited) and would all of a sudden burst into tears for no obvious reason.

He was a lame fellow, low self-esteem with no real future. Alhomdillah, screaming at walls and kicking tables seems to have worked. He has come out of his gloomy spell and is now much better emotionally.
