i dont know where muslims get the time to watch eastenders. It is depressing to be honest, it is much better to watch something islamic, or pray/read quran.

Prophet Muhammad (saw) (pbuh) "Do not acquire knowledge to compete with the scholars, nor argue with the ignorant, nor to gain mastery over gatherings. Since whoever does that, then:the fire!the fire!"

regardless of what you think

the matter has been raised and a proper educated response needs to be put forward.

what is the islmic principle of dealing with homos and benders.

i.e. is it allowed to be a bender and a muslim ?

Well, in the interest of impartiality and balance, can an 'alternating current'  please step forward and debate their stance?

Otherwise, it's fruitless.

May Allah increase my enviers.

I doubt anyone would provide an opponent for the other side of the argument, as this would indicate that they are sad enough to watch that ridiculous time-waste of a show.

If I was a non Muslim and I heard you call Gay people "benders" then I'd be highly offended. Actually, being a Muslim i'm still appalled ! Whatever happened to tolerance? Its exactly this type of language and disrespect that forces some non Muslims to believe that Muslims are intolerant, raving extremists!

Well, the non-muslims also believe that the Qu'ran is intolerant, should we appease them by removing the verses that abominate the homos?

It's like some people don't like the word kuffar being used for non-muslims, when the word is used in the speech of Allah!

Not all non-muslims believe the Quran is intolerant. You should have used "Some" in that sentence rather than "the"  Your confusing what i'm trying to say. What you said about removing verses from the Quran to appease those who oppose its opinion has no relevance with what i'm saying about using respectful language. Both points have nothing to do with eachother. There is a difference between respecting someone elses freedom to do what they like and changing your own beliefs to suit others. Calling them "homos" is yet another example of homophobia. Do you not care about how you come across to non-muslims. Shouldn't we strive to be good examples, after all its what the prophet Muhammed (saw) taught.

As for the issue about calling non-muslims kuffar, I have no idea and i'm not going to disguise my ignorance by being an "internet imam". I ,personally would refrain from using the word as it seems to cause quite a bit of controversy
