Assalamu alaikum sister Ash, I am not sure about this one. Actually I don't know them in order and this are the ones I remember what we were taught in school. But I don't remember anything from taqdeer being taught in school apart from just the basic thing about the decree of Allah. Its mostly now that I have started understanding more about it.
Erm sister Zarqa the pillars of Islam are shahadah, salah, zakah, sawm and Haj. I think your confusing yourself a bit, please don't get me wrong. I though you were talking about beliefs so I made it clear and to believe in Jins isn't that important for faith but we know its mentioned in the Quran and thus we know that these are the creations of Allah just like us. The list I mentioned are the basic beliefs that a non-muslim should know at the time of taking shahadah if I am not wrong.
Sorry if my comment took you by surprise, it wasn't intended in a wrong way.

Mountain Ash (02.07.2009)
AKA786 (01.07.2009) Assalamu alaikum sister Ash, I am not sure about this one. Actually I don't know them in order and this are the ones I remember what we were taught in school. But I don't remember anything from taqdeer being taught in school apart from just the basic thing about the decree of Allah. Its mostly now that I have started understanding more about it. Wa'alaikumasalam warahmatullah There are five in number mentioned in the verses of the Qur'an. "But righteous is he who believeth in Allah and the Last Day and the Angels and the Scriptures and the Prophets" (2: 177). But in the hadith of Prophet (peace be upon him) reveal that in addition to the above five beliefs there is one more article of faith and that is fate. It occurs in the tradition that once Jibrail (AS) asked the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) "What is faith?" He replied: "You affirm your faith in Allah, His Angels, His Books, His Messengers, in the Hereafter and you affirm your faith in the Divine Decree to good and evil. (Muslim) Belief in fate is a part of the belief in Allah, I guess it's only a difference of precision and detail. Alaikum Assalam, wow mashAllah your quick references are indeed helpful sister. JazakAllah kheir for these and may Allah bless you with a sharp memory and vaste knowledge of Islam. We now have a walking-talking reference database Take care everyone.
