JazakAllah Khair my dear brother Alom for informing me about the bug. I was thinking that over 700 users online must be incorrect lol, but it would be so good masha'Allah if there were that many users online :)

As long as we have jubilant individual as yourselves blessing this site with your wisdom, knowledge and humbleness, I’d rather take the dozen then the thousands.  For me its always quality over quantity, but InshaAllah keep the prayers coming and keep on contributing and you never one day we just might have that many members online at the same time trying to learn the wisdom passed on by the likes of you people.

Also my fave song by emminem……..

Sister KTL, could you give me any advice??

Would the real MISS Know the Ledge please stand up!

For me, it's always been quality AND quantity, but i'm just greedy!

It seems that Owais is also demonstrating unsophisticated meanderings of satire; i'm impressed!

Salam to all silent readers on YaNabi.com

I want to know what it will take for you to break your silence?

Walaykum Salaam,

I don't know. May be we are shy lolz...

Although I am of the view, sometimes, silence is the best response.

Muhammad Afzal Qadiri (16.04.2009)

sometimes, silence is the best response.

But let’s try and not make “sometimes” in to a regular habit and thus leading to permanent, because if every human being decided to silence themselves then we will be leaving in a very muted world.

I hope you take my heed in a constructive manor my dear brother.

Yanabi.com has lost its spark. I do not know how, or why but I do know that it occured well before the change in the layout of the forum. But I guess that the layout did have a further impact. Yanabi.com used to have a sense of "community" feel about it. Sometimes it felt similar to an episode on little house on the prairie. Forgive my cheesy-ness but that sense of community made me feel that I could share absolutely ANYTHING with my brothers and sisters on the forum but now it just feels like any other forum. The argueing, the insults, the sheer disregard for other peoples feelings, the posts that serve absolutely no purpose, the users that feed off MISERY: they all have an affect on how the forum works. Due to these complications Yanabi.com is simply not what it used to be thus, many users have stopped responding. I regret to say that I don't know if Yanabi.com will ever regain the reputation it once possessed.

Forgive me if I have offended anyone, I am simply voicing my opinion on the matter. I felt compelled to reply because even though I am not an extremely avid user of Yanabi anymore, I think that in the past I was. The absense of great users such as MMM, Farhat Nisa and others has deeply saddened me :( MMM was like the daddy of the forum :'( He taught me that it wasnt "Aslamalaikum" but "Asalam-u-alaikum" I'll never forget that :'( :'( :'(

Well Aisha my sister we all agree that Yanabi.com and its regular users are like a family to us, and just like any other regular families we too have gone through a rough patch.  We fought, we argued amongst ourselves and then we kissed and made up.  Yaara disagreement tho hota hi rehta hain, doesn’t mean that we should pack our bags and leave for good, and I am glad no one has done that because if that was the case then today you wouldn’t be here posting your concern to us.

An regarding my Bro Triple M, well don’t worry about him.  I am sure he is taking a mini vacation and he should be back soon inshaAllah, what we must do during this time is try and get the forum back together and get back that community feel to it, so when Bro Triple M eventually returns he could say “darn I missed this place”.

For that to happen we need people like you to keep on participating and forwarding your thoughts and innovative ideas.  You have voiced your opinion on what is going wrong with this site, now my dear sis contribute some of your wisdom on HOW to get back the forum the way it was.  Share us your ideas that can make our forum the best portal for Muslims and non-Muslims to learn and have a laugh at the same time.  I agree we will never get the reputation that we once had, but as long as users like you are still here we will thrive to even precede that.

Oh and one more thing...

And i say this first and foremostto myself... maybe we mods need to be less sarcastic and stop belittling people and making people feel intimidated perhaps...

we were all clueless once, unless those of you who are children of scholars and knew how to make wudu properly by age 5.

I think this is a good point..
