YoungBrother (20.02.2010) I am very close to becoming a silent reader due to a mod locking my thread "YaNabi.com A Brailvi Site?" for no justifiable reason and then failing to reply to my second private message (not mentioning any names). And then getting your posts deleted because some individual mods simply didn't like it. I think behaviour like this from mods discourage people from contributing.I can't understand this sudden wave of discomfort about moderators when this community has existed for so many years. Why is the mentioned topic so important to you? What are you trying to achieve and which part of your communication has been hampered. Please elaborate..... Classification of this community is not up for a referendum. Tahir

Tahir Riaz (20.02.2010)I can't understand this sudden wave of discomfort about moderators when this community has existed for so many years. Once one starts showing disagreement about a moderator/s, another gets courage to do the same and so now there is a sudden wave with people displaying their disagreements about the moderators and their moderating. Alhamdulillah I think we have got some excellent moderators on board. Of course, there are always going to be a minority now and then who don't agree with the decisions moderators may take so don't worry about it brother.

Actually, I never implied that I wanted them to "stamp it". Everyone is entitled to their own opinion brother and you are entitled to yours. If you have an issue with certain moderators then insha'Allah inform brother Tahir on here or by PM. JazakAllah KhairMa'assalaamah

YoungBrother (20.02.2010) [quote]Didn't want to achieve anything, just wanted a reply and now you've given me one. Don't really need to elaborate, if you read it you'd understand. If you have already made your point and there is nothing more to add then I don't see why you should be annoyed by the thread being locked. Even though people policing this space have done that for YEARS, it is of course impossible to remain 100% impartial all the time. Our personal preferences is naturally a part of the decision making and yes, it can sometimes be unjustified. Dimensions of a diverse community as ours are no different from realties of real life. You can't expect everyone to be nice, you can't expect everyone to understand and share your passion. Disagreement and arguments is a natural phoneme amongst people who share and discuss elements of interest. I think it's unfair to hold whole community as hostage just because of arguments with particular users. Just some days ago I got a pm from an old member saying: Today is my last day on YaNabi.com. As usual some days later I see him participating as before. Sometimes people are provoked into doing something they normally wouldn't do. Let's all us keeping mind the human element even though we can't see the person behind the keyboard.

Aslaamualikum Brother Tahir,I believe some of your Latest recruits as Moderators are well below Par.Regardless whatever Justification/explanation you provide,it will still be difficult for you to sell and us to buy. When Moderators abuse Members by calling them A-Holes and becoming cheeky with Sunny titles then retaliation is inevitable.I agree with the brother, Threads get locked when the Heat is on certain Moderators. The Old Original Mods are gold but the new crew are Childish and need to grow up! Recently you and some Moderators stated Yanabi.com will not cater people targeting Pirs,Shaikhs,Ulema and Molvis but the Pic N Choose policy still exists. Now I know you might think Here we go Hafiz Qadri on extreme politics again but I can assure you that's far from it.I always believe in the Truth nothing but the Truth even if it upsets my nearest and dearest.I will carry on with the truth even if it leads me to part company with this beautiful website but Bowing down to the new crew Mods will never happen. PS.Part Company =Getting Banned Ali Ali Ali Haq

hafiz qadri (20.02.2010)
Aslaamualikum The Old Original Mods are gold but the new crew are Childish and need to grow up! Then lets give them a chance(in the field of moderating at least)! Its even more of a duty on you,me and others (that are/maybe older than them) to advice rather them than start a campaign against them. I will state there cases where arguments (or cases made) could be better formulated by both mods(me incuded) and non mods on this forum, but fact remains that we are all working for the betterment or at least smooth running of this forum,so lets agree to disagree on issues through mutual respect. As for language or expressions used,i humbly request that both moderators and members alike not use offensive terms in order to belittle each(be it to cause offence or other). An academically/respectfully presented argument is more effective and be better percepted than a rash/offensive one. Whilst the former often brings change or reformation of thought, the latter can only cause hatred and fitna.
