Salaams

I have been referring to the above web-site and it's predecessor the hanafi fiqh list on Yahoo groups for the past 6 months or so now. On the whole i have found it extremely useful. However, i do notice that the opinions are taken from scholars of all backgrounds. Does anyone have any knowledge of whether this is a reliable source of information as a starter for the use of youngsters.

AoA

This is actually an extension of hanafi yahoo group.

Its a very good Q & A site............Mostly forums on net are captured by unauthentic groups claiming to be Sunnis or Hanafis....

But this one what i ve seen so far is proper Hanafi n Shafii..........by saying this i mean it is not dominated by any particular from subcontinent....and controlled by Shaikhs in US probably who r followers of Sheikh Hamza Yusuf & Shaikh Nazim Haqqani(www.sunnah.org)

It provides references to works of classic Ulema of Ahle Sunnat.............as well as later Ulema including Ala Hazrat (RA) & others from other backgrounds.........

All in all its good one........

wsalam

You willl find a link to this website at          www.shariahprogram.ca

A program designed for youth living especially in Toronto.   But I heard that the school of thought followed by this program is Wahabi.  SO, i was surprised to see the link to www.sunnipath.com at this website.  Because i thought www.shariaprogram.ca was a wahabi website.

I asked many people.  Some say Shariahprogram.ca teaches wahabi school of thought.  Some say it is traditional real sunni school of thought based course.  I am not sure.  It was just an opinion of mine.

Allah knows the best.

Wasaalaam.

Sunnah.org mainly run By Shaykh Hisham kabbani's people (which includes Shaykh Nazim) so I wouldnt say 'and Hamza Yousrf' because they are two different articles.

GF Haddad has some brill articles on their and some regarding Ala Hazrat RA

salam 'alaikum

The majority of the scholars on sunnipath.com are deobandis.

Ibn Adam al Kawthari is deobandi

Manjera is Deobandi

Sheikh Yusuf Mullan is deobandi

and 2 others are very pro deobandis.

Since yu are suspicious of all sites of having the possibility of bad non sunni 'aqeedah accept those by openly Barelwi sites (from south asia) then I guess yu better not visit this site.

jazakallah khairan

Aslamoalikum,

Thankyou for that brother only a few days ago I was speaking to one of them and I could not make out head or tail from what he was saying . But at the last minute he slipped up. Then I told this to Bro Tahir Riaz that they are deobandi... ! Its like catching a snake amongst fish ! they are so slippery !

Thankyou Bro,

Allah Hafiz

I think Faraz Rabbani is one of the main contributors on their. he is a student and is currently studying in Arabia, he does come on our Ala Hazrat forum too somtimes. The problem is that although their own Aqeedah seems Sunni but do openly say that they are OK with deobandis and dont get invloved between deos and Barewlis. But what someone has just stated above with the deobandi Ulema on there is quite surprising and I would dtay away.

I hate it when people think the issues between Sunnis (barewlis) and wahabis (deobandis) is just some political fight or they just moan and graon for the sake of it. NO it based on Aqeedah issues and in some cases kufr!

Like Ala Hazrat said Ahle Hadees are Ghair Muqaalid Wahabis and Deobandis are Muqallid wahabis.

Thanks all.

I recently saw the following response on their Q&A section. I am forever confused by assertions that certain things do and do not affect one's imaan and aqeeda (things which i always felt were important). Can anyone comment on the Maulana's response?

yes typical of wahabis to mention anything in priase of Hazoor Paak either not to be true or when there is evidence it doesent seem to be important. Funny how in the argument which says there was a shadow Ulema have backed it up. but when mentioning there was no shadow he trys to show Hadith to prove that - why hasent he quoted how Ulema have interepreted these hadith and what the shadow is referring to like he has stated for having the shadow?

Makes me move futher away from that site and I would request users not to visit it because it can seriously affect your Aqeedah if you dont know. We have Moulana Shaid Raza Naeemi sahib in Leicester so people from that area should rather refer to him.
